Rachael was a really fun guide and we had several other couples on the tour who were very fun. The ride itself was fun, we got some great views and the tastings at the wineries were great. He was a wealth of knowledge and showed us a beautiful backcountry view of the island. If you get the chance to book a tour with him, do it. Had the most lovely afternoon cycling through beautiful countryside, expertly guided by charming host Rachel. The quality of the bikes was excellent and the route fine for anyone with a moderate level of fitness ( I am 65 and while I walk daily have not been near a gym in years) The vinyards visited had gorgeous wine and the food platter provided generous. We had such a memorable day filled with lots of laughter and delicious wines. My husband and I would give her 10 stars if we could. Rachel was engaging and informative and passionate about the history of wine on Korcula. Our tour ran over by two hours because we were having such a wonderful day - that type of overrun demonstrates what a great experience the tour was. The pace was casual, the rain held off (mostly), the wine was excellent and the company ended up being even better. Both wineries were lovely and John was an excellent guide - pleasant, funny and informative. Rachael is so much fun and provided great information regarding wine in Korcula. We made fast friends with others in our small group from Australia, Brazil and ex-pats living in London. We loved meeting the food/wine producers, each who had such a fun, unique personality and delighted us with their stories and knowledge. The biking was fun and not too strenuous. The cycling , seeing countryside, and wines were great but the trip was full of laughs and good conversation with John. He even helped get us diner reservations at the last minute for an "under the bell " meal that typically needs to be ordered in advance. I would absolutely recommend but there are so hills and steep inclines that are manageable and he moves at a pace everyone is comfortable with.
