Before booking, please ensure you and all participants understand the cycling requirements. By default, this is a mountain bike tour. The route includes hills, gravel trails, and potentially hot weather, conditions that may be too challenging for novice riders. You need a good level of fitness to participate. E-bikes are available for an additional cost (€30 per bike) but are not recommended for inexperienced cyclists.
If anyone in your group prefers not to cycle, we can provide direct transfers to the wineries so they can meet the group there and enjoy the wine.

Tour Description
Prepare for one of the most memorable afternoons of your vacation! The Korcula Bike & Wine Tour provides a perfect mix of activity and enjoyment.
You’ll begin in Korcula Town and cycle through beautiful countryside and stone-walled paths with sweeping views of the sea and Lumbarda village. Along the way, we’ll pause to share insights into local life, wine traditions, and the agricultural heritage that makes this part of the island so special.
Your reward comes as we roll into Lumbarda, home to Korcula’s most prized wines. You’ll visit two idyllic, family-run wineries where you’ll taste Grk, a rare indigenous white variety grown almost exclusively here, alongside Posip and other local wines. One winery also serves a delicious platter of homemade delicacies: cheeses, charcuterie and olive oil that complement beautifully with the wines.
The tastings are generous, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the experience is relaxed and unhurried. It feels less like a traditional tour and more like spending an afternoon with friends.
And when you’re joyfully full of wine and food. We take care of everything. Your bike returns by van, and you return to town comfortably by transfer, no cycling required.

Duration: 5.5 hours (Please note that the tour duration is approximate – sometimes the tour runs longer, and we prefer not to rush if you’re enjoying yourselves! If you have dinner or other reservations after the tour finishes, please consider this when planning your schedule. If you need to be somewhere after the tour ends at a fixed time, please let us know.)

High marks definitely to Korcula Explorer. Rachel, our guide, led our small group on a delightful 8K bike ride from Kortula to Lumbarda. It was a ride of easy to moderate effort relative to your biking experience. We passed through lush vineyards and groves of olive trees. Along the way Rachel gave us a glimpse into history, knowledge of the different varieties of grapes and the wines made from them. We stop for marvelous wine tastings at Cipre and Popic wineries. Rachel is genuinely engaging . We all shared in conversation and laughed our way into the evening.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip with Rachel. It was so beautiful and the wines were fantastic. Rachel was a wonderful guide. I would highly recommend this trip.
Fun afternoon biking in the area- about 6 miles – most of which was before the tasting. Visited two local wineries with amazing views of the local towns and sea. Tasted some nice wines specifically to this area! Second winery supplied delicious snacks with wine tasting. Shuttled back to meet up spot after tastings! Our guide John was great. It was great fun to get out to a different area of Korcula and pedal through vineyards and olive groves. Wine tasting and delicious meats and cheese and veggies were amazing. Rachel told us a lot of interesting facts about the area! Would highly recommend.

Minimum Number: While your party size can be as small as one person, our tours require a minimum of 4 total persons to run. So if you are a group of 1 person, 2 or 3 people, please still go ahead & book. If we are unable to meet the minimum, we will gladly rebook you to another date, refund your purchase or charge an additional cost (with your agreement if you’d like to go ahead with the booking).
Maximum Number: Our maximum group tour size is 9 people.
Yes, this tour can be made private. Private tours are available Monday to Saturday. Please email us to check availability and private tour rates.
Bikes are mountain bikes. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness and experience of riding a bike. You will cycle around 10 km, and this includes several hills. The route may include some unlevel surfaces and off-road terrain. Keep in mind as well it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate, but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for some people. Although the ride is leisurely, we just want to ensure you will be comfortable to complete the ride.
Please let us know upon booking if you have any dietary requirements or food allergies. We can usually accommodate all. Please keep in mind the Croatian diet is fairly meat/dairy heavy so alternative options may be more limited.

Wear clothes and shoes that you are comfortable cycling in. We advise against wearing flip flops! Trainers or sturdy sandals are best.
Water is provided at the wineries but not during the biking, so please bring water with you.
On bike tours please bring a minimum of 1 litre of water per person for the cycle ride. You’ll need it!
If you plan to purchase wine, bring a back pack to transport them between stops or back to Korcula Town.
Yes, you can buy wine at both wineries. Please note they do not accept card payments so ensure you have cash (Euro) with you if you plan to buy any wine.
