Can you picture yourself cycling through the countryside and wine tasting at the most picturesque vineyards? Our Korcula bike & wine tour will be just the ticket!

If you’re feeling a little energetic, join us for a scenic cycle trip from Korcula Town to the family-run wineries of Lumbarda for two indulgent wine tastings. And relax at ease, as afterwards you and your bikes will be transferred back to Korcula Town.

My husband and I loved every second of this tour!! John was our tour guide and he is such a pro! He knows a ton about the island, the wine, and is SUPER fun to hang out with! Our group of 9 all bonded during the gorgeous ride, and really got to know each other during the tastings. This tour has it all – exercise, wine, relaxing and lots of laughs!“

  • Enjoy a cycle ride through the peaceful Korcula countryside not often explored by visitors to the island
  • Opportunity to tour a family-run winery and learn more about the winemaking processes
  • Taste the delicious Grk wine, grown almost exclusively in the village of Lumbarda on Korcula
  • Sample tasty traditional food whilst enjoying stunning views of the vineyards
  • Get to know like-minded travellers over a few glasses of wine

Setting off from Korcula we’ll pass beautiful countryside, local vineyards and olive groves whilst enjoying fantastic views of the village, archipelago and the Peljesac channel. We’ll take a couple of rest stops en-route and share some local knowledge about the area.

You will then visit two family-run wineries to refresh & reward yourself with delicious wine grown in the area, including two wine tastings of the unique white wine Grk, found only in Lumbarda. Accompanying your wine tasting, traditional appetisers will also be served at one winery.

At the end of the wine tasting, we will transfer back to Korcula by vehicle, so no need to worry about cycling after a few drinks.

Price includes:

  • Cycle ride from Korcula to Lumbarda
  • Wine Tasting at 2 wineries
  • Traditional appetisers at 1 winery

September 2020 Via TripAdvisor – My fiance and I did a fully day cycling tour with John and loved every second of it. We had so much fun riding through the island learning about its history and culture and sampling wines throughout. John is very knowledgeable and easy going and biking was a great way to see the island. We also checked out a locals beach that was absolutely gorgeous and fun too. Highly recommend as a great way to see Korcula!

August 2020 Via TripAdvisor – Great cycle and wines to be had! Ride is about hour and a half but only hour of cycling – couple of hills but otherwise really pleasant. You visit two wineries and was lovely to try the local grapes and some lovely bread, meats and cheeses at the last one! If you’re in Korcula I would highly recommend

Via TripAdvisor, July 2020 Great afternoon!!!

We had a lovely afternoon with John cycling around the beautiful island of Korcula and finishing with wine tasting at two adjacent vineyards. After the seven mile bike ride, which was largely traffic free, we arrived at the first family run winery where spent an hour tasting a selection of wines and liqueurs. We then moved to the next winery and repeated the process but this time with a delicious platter of meats, cheeses, bread and olive oil, all of which was produced locally. We stayed there for a few more hours before getting a taxi back to Korcula town. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon out with John who had an extensive knowledge of the island and the local wine industry. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour with the fabulous host John! How hard is the cycle ride?

Bikes are mountain bikes. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness and experience of riding a bike. You will cycle around 10kms and this includes several hills. The route may include some unlevel surfaces and off road terrain. Keep in mind as well it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for some people. Although the ride is leisurely, we just want to ensure you will be comfortable to complete the ride.

What should I wear?

We advise that you wear clothes and shoes that you are comfortable cycling in.

What should I bring with me?

We suggest that you bring a minimum of 1 litre of water per person for the cycle ride.

Can I buy wine at the wineries?

Yes you can buy wine at both wineries. Please note they do not accept card payments so ensure you have cash (Kuna) with you it you plan to buy any wine.

Where does the tour start from and where do we meet?

We will meet you in a central meeting point in Korcula Town. We provide a map of where to meet on the Tour Confirmation.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements or food allergies?

Please let us know upon booking if you have any dietary requirements or food allergies. We can usually accommodate all. Please keep in mind the Croatian diet is fairly meat/dairy heavy so alternative options may be more limited.

What is the payment & refund policy?

Full payment is required when booking. Should you need to cancel we will offer a full refund for any cancellations received at least 48 hours before the tour date. You can see full details on our Terms & Conditions page:
