“We had THE BEST time on our tour with John! He was accommodating and easy to communicate with. It felt like we were meeting up with a friend that lives in Korcula. We loved riding bikes through the gorgeous scenery and the work we did on the bikes made the food and wine that much better!”

Heading away from Korcula Town towards Lumbarda by bike, your first stop comes after no more than 15 minutes. You will meet one of the region’s top honey producers and learn how honey gets from the beehives to the jars, followed by honey tasting.

Back on your bike, you will take to picturesque country trails passing olive groves and vineyards before finding yourself at a top Grk producing winery.  Take a seat and enjoy several island produced wines, accompanied by delicious, regional snacks.

Your final stop is a short pedal away and takes you to the home and gardens of our friend Ivan and his wife Ana. Here you will see where their fruits are grown before trying their award-winning jam selection, which is truly outstanding, along with homemade liquors, wine, sweet treats and olive oil. Clare – Summer 2022 We took part in the bike tour cycling from Korcula to Lumbarda, visiting 3 local producers on the way. The tour was perfectly described as moderate for 2 friends that hadn’t ridden a bike in a while. John was a great guide making sure we were all ok on the country tracks that we cycled. The scenery was breathtaking and the producers goods were top quality. I will be booking another tour with this company when I visit again.

Jess – Summer 2022 Fantastic day out, could not recommend more! Delicious food and so much amazing wine from great places along the bike ride. Great way to see the island. Will definitely be telling our friends to do this. Thanks John :)!!

FAQs
How hard is the cycle ride?

Bikes are mountain bikes. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness for the cycle ride. You will cycle around 10kms, and this includes some road cycling, several hills and some off-road terrain. Keep in mind as well it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate, but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for some people. Although the ride is leisurely, we just want to ensure you will be comfortable to complete the ride.

What should I wear?

We advise that you wear clothes and shoes that you are comfortable cycling in.

What should I bring with me?

We suggest that you bring a minimum 1l of water per person for the cycle ride.

Can I buy products from the producers we visit?

Yes, you can buy local products at each stop. Please note they do not accept card payments, so ensure you have cash (Euro) with you if you plan on making a purchase.

Where does the tour start from and where do we meet?

We will meet you in a central meeting point in Korcula Town. We provide a map of where to meet on the Tour Confirmation.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements or food allergies?

Please let us know upon booking if you have any dietary requirements or food allergies. We can usually accommodate all. Please keep in mind the Croatian diet is fairly meat/dairy heavy so alternative options may be more limited.

What is the payment & refund policy?

Full payment is required when booking. Should you need to cancel we will offer a full refund for any cancellations received at least 48 hours before the tour date. You can see full details on our Terms & Conditions page: http://www.korculaexplorer.com/terms-conditions/.
