There is so much delicious local produce on the island. Let us introduce you to the people behind some of our favourites on our Taste of Korcula Tour!

Journey with us indulging in some of Korcula’s tastiest highlights with stops at three of the island’s great family-run producers. Your taste buds will be delighted and you will leave with a genuine insight into life on Korcula Island.

We run one tour a day, so please check availability for this tour on the calendar HERE.

Excellent tour with Rachael exploring Korcula. She took us to local producers who shared their homemade products with us, including honey, cheese, lots of wine, and many more. She felt really connected with the locals and enjoyed our interactions together. By the time the tour ended we were stuffed! Highly recommended to other travelers who are looking to get out of the old town and taste lots of fresh and local products.

  • Meet 3 local Korcula Island producers to learn more about island life
  • Try a range of honey all produced on the island using local bees!
  • Taste the refreshing Grk wine which is grown almost exclusively in the village of Lumbarda
  • Learn how locally grown produce is turned into delicious preserves and brandies
  • Enjoy a short scenic walk in Lumbarda

Departing from Korcula Town towards Lumbarda by vehicle, our first stop comes after no more than 5 minutes at one of the region’s top honey producers. Here we will learn how honey gets from the beehives to jars, followed by honey tasting.

After the honey tasting we transfer to Lumbarda to taste one of Korcula’s most famous products, it’s wine. The winery we visit produces the acclaimed and little known (outside of Croatia) white wine, Grk, as well as Plavac Mali (a red wine produced through-out Dalmatia with ties to American Zinfandel). All wines are paired with tasty regional snacks.

Leaving the winery, we take a short 10-minute walk with scenic views of the village before arriving at our final destination to sweeten up our taste-buds. At the home of the jovial Ivan & Ana, we will taste an array of delicious homemade products including olive oil, preserves, sweet treats, Croatian rakija (brandy), domestic wine and to top the tour off, pancakes (crepe-style) with jam. We will also take a wonderful walk up through the olive & fruit trees for an amazing panoramic view. After we bid our new friends farewell, we’ll return back to Korcula.

  • Honey Tasting

  • Pancake with topping & other sweet snacks

Via TripAdvisor July 2021 – Great timeExcellent tour with Rachael exploring Korcula. Via TripAdvisor June 2021 – Enjoy the local countryside and meet wonderful local residents – Rachel gave us a wonderful experience. She was very engaging and knowledgeable about the areas she took us to outside of the old town of Korcula. I loved meeting local residents who shared their products with us. We met a beekeeper who not only has honey but also many products that he made from the honey such as gin! The local winery was awesome. We sat down overlooking the valley and enjoyed several wines with a charcuterie spread. Our last stop was visiting an elderly couple in their home who shared everything they made from the fruit trees and grapevines on their property. We sampled their wines, candy orange rinds, fig cake and delicious pancakes with fresh jam. The gentleman farmer was a delight. At the end of the day I really felt like I had experienced the local flare that greatly added to my vacation. I highly recommend this tour.

Via Google July 2020 – The BEST tour we did in Croatia! We travelled along the entire coast and did so many tours but were blown away by this one. Rachel was an incredible guide – who was very informative, easy to talk to & fun! We got to visit two local wineries & a honey farm which all had delicious food, wines & desserts and were all so welcoming & warm. If we ever go back to Korcula we will be repeating this Tour.

Via TripAdvisor July 2020 – Rachael a super knowledgable, fun, and insightful host. I’ve been coming to Korcula since I was born without having experienced the amazing winery, beekeeper, and homestead she took us to. We bought lots of unique, thoughtfully made products and cant wait to do the tour next year. Highly recommend!

Note: We amended this tour for 2020 so the reviews below are related to a slightly different tour.

Diana August 2019 – I just wanted to let Rachael know that my husband and I felt she did an amazing job yesterday!.

Via TripAdvisor, August 2019 – Clearly in love with the island and the country John was informative but also allowed us to find our own conversational level (politics wine food and the arts) and provided just the right amount of knowledge about regional viticulture but with no pressure to buy additional products which all went to make this possibly the best holiday liquid lunch we’ve ever had.

Great company, wonderful insights and a very splendid day! Read more
