We receive a lot of questions about where to stay in Korcula Town and the surrounding area. A lot of people visiting the island choose to stay here due to its proximity to transport connections and a wide choice of amenities and accommodation.
Korcula Town and the surrounding area is fairly compact. We consider it to stretch from the Bay of Medvinjak to Luka Bay, with Korcula Old Town roughly in the middle. From either outskirt, it’s not much more than a 20-minute walk to the centre along the coastline.
You can see the approximate layout of each area on this map.
Here’s our quick overview of where to stay in Korcula Town. Working from West to East from Medvinjak to Luka…

Sveti Nikola & Cvjetno Naselje Streets
Where is it?
These two streets run parallel to each other, heading west from Korcula Old Town.
Cons for staying here
- Sveti Nikola is the first row to the sea, where you can stay in waterfront accommodation with the sea just a few metres from your door. How heavenly is that!
- Cvjetno Naselje is the second row and the views from the houses along this street are some of the best in Korcula, as they overlook the stunning Old Town.
- From either street, you are just a very short walk from the town and despite being so close to the centre, this area remains quite quiet.
Possible Cons for staying here
- This is one of the prime locations, so expect to pay a little more and get in quick to book as the apartments here get snapped up fast.
