Travel between Hvar and Korcula [Update 2023]

It is easier to travel between Hvar and Korcula without a car as there is no direct car ferry between the two islands (with a car you must take a ferry from Split or Drvenik). Below you can find information about the main transport options.

It is also possible to take a day trip from Korcula to Hvar via public transport.

Advice: In the peak season purchase your tickets for boats or buses the day before or the morning before your departure, as there is often long queues and tickets sell-out fairly quickly. Or if possible, buy online in advance of your departure date.

Foot passenger Kapetan Luka Catamaran

  • Travels between Split and Korcula Town.
  • Tickets can be purchased online from the Kapetan Luka website. Tickets can be purchased in Korcula Town from the Kapetan Luka Office (Ulica Fosa 1) and in Hvar from the Pelegrini Tours office at the port.
  • Operating year-round. See timetable

  • Travels between Hvar and Korcula Town.
  • Tickets can be purchased online from the Kapetan Luka website. Tickets can be purchased in Korcula Town from the Kapetan Luka Office (Ulica Fosa 1) and in Hvar from the Pelegrini Tours office at the port.
  • NOTE: The catamaran from Korcula Town typically departs from the east port but you will need to confirm on the day of departure if it will depart from the east or west port (5-minute walk between the ports).

  • Travels between Hvar and Vela Luka.
  • Tickets can be purchased online from the Jadrolinija website. Tickets can be purchased in Vela Luka from the Jadrolinija office (Obala 4 bb) and in Hvar from the Jadrolinija office.
  • There are buses connecting Vela Luka to Korcula Town, taking approximately 1 hour. – 1 hour 15 minutes. For an up to date schedule, see the Arriva website.
