This is our original tour which we created to share with you an authentic experience of Korcula.

Join us for a short, scenic walk, through local vineyards. Before sampling some of the island’s finest wines, traditional appetisers and a fabulous dinner of the tasty local specialty pasta.

“We had a great time enjoying the wine tasting with Rachael. We learnt a lot about the local wines, which all tasted absolutely incredible, and they were very generous with the amounts! We went to two different vineyards and tried a wide range, and also got a chance to walk through the vineyards. Rachael was really friendly and such a good tour guide. We would definitely recommend this for others!”

Description
  • Enjoy spectacular views of Lumbarda and the coast during a leisurely walk through the countryside
  • Taste the delicious Grk wine which is only grown in the vineyards of Lumbarda village
  • Opportunity to see the vineyards and learn about the winemaking processes
  • Relax in beautiful surroundings whilst sampling tasty fresh food
  • Unwind at the end of the evening on a boat trip back to Korcula Town with sparkling wine served onboard or a drink at the  beach bar

After transferring from Korcula to Lumbarda (a short 10-minute journey) we first take a walk through the Lumbarda vineyards, learning about local life on the island and of course the wines we will be enjoying. We end our walk at the first of two of our favourite wineries to taste wines from the region including Grk and Plavac Mali. We will also taste specialities of the wineries such as rose wine and something a little stronger! At the first winery, you will enjoy traditional appetisers before feasting on a delicious traditional pasta dinner with your next wine tasting at the second.

To cap off the evening, we will take a final stroll through the vineyards of Lumbarda to the small port and take a peaceful boat trip back to Korcula past the archipelago, sipping on sparkling wine as we go. Alternatively, we will head to the beach bar for a final drink.

Note: depending on the availability with the people we work on this tour, we may need to make changes to the itinerary.

ViaTripAdvisor August 2021 – Lovely late afternoon and early evening Wine Tour – Really enjoyable walk through olive groves, tasting freshly ripened wild figs and Carob pods growing along the paths. Followed by wine tasting at Vitis and Popovic vineyards. Great food and wine excellently hosted by Rachel who talked us through the history of the region, how the wine is made and the wine itself. Highly recommended. Also included sampling locally made olive oil and liqueurs

Via TripAdvisor August 2021 – Lovely intro to Korcula wines – A splendid upgrade of any visit to Korcula. The tour was amazing, with perfect itinerary (just right amount of walking through beautiful landscape of Lumbarda, drinking of Grk and other wines and eating local food).

Via TripAdvisor June 2021 – It’s easy to see why they’re number one – John and Rachael are simply a joy to be with and are great conversationalists. Both are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Walking through the beautiful countryside amongst the vineyards, stopping at various wineries to sample the wine, and sampling the delicious local foods, one would think that you may have found paradise. Truth is, you have.

David September 2020 via Tripadvisor: Great afternoon of walking through olive and fog groves + vineyards with Rachael. I was the only person on the tour that day to travel slowdowns and so I received a personal tour from Rachael. Great tasting at two wineries and as you can see, I bought a bottle at each. (Although there was no pressure at all to do so.). Highly recommended.
