Reviews

Gina Summer 2022 We did Rachael and John’s self-guided bike tour and it was just perfect.  It took us on a route that we would not have had the time to research and showed us some incredible views and locations.  Thank-you; you have given us beautiful memories and photo opportunities!  Yes, we walked the steps and swam and had refreshments enroute!

Tony Summer 2022 Thank you for your help in organising the stop – Popic Winery was a great experience and Mira was a lovely host.

Your guide was brilliant, it added so much to the ride.

Self Guided Bike Tour – a Fablous Day! Leah, October 2021 (Via TripAdvisor)

My friend and I unfortunately could not make our schedule work with offered tours so we opted for the self guided bike tour. To begin, the customer service was excellent, as our trip dates changed and I was quickly refunded the cost of our originally booked trip. The self guided tour was wonderful and provided a google map with points of interest already marked as well as a pamphlet of information about each stop along the tour. My friend and I had an absolute blast riding along, stopping at each site, taking photos, and becoming acquainted with the area through the descriptions in the pamphlet. We really enjoyed the complimentary glass of wine at one of the vineyards which we got because we mentioned our tour. I would recommend a guided tour if you are able to fit it in your schedule, but if not, 100% purchase the self guided tour for a memorable, well planned out experience! Of note, my friend and I drew the tour out over the course of many hours, however it can be as short or long as you like!

FAQs
Where does the tour start and how do I receive the guide & map?

After paying you will be redirected to a screen where you can access/download the guide and map. You will also receive an email with the link (please note there may be some delay in the email reaching your inbox). If you do not receive the confirmation email within 1 hour, please first check your SPAM folder or then email us

The guide is in PDF format so you should be able to download a copy to access it offline on your phone. The map is on Google. If you have the Google map app on your phone you may be able to download an offline copy. If not you will need to have access to the internet to view the map during the tour.

Is bike rental included?

No. Just the Guide and Map are included. You will need to organise bike rental separately. There are a number of rental agencies in Korcula Town. It costs around 18 euros per bike for a 1-day rental. If you rent bikes through a partner agency you will receive a 10% discount (further details included in the guide).

How long does the tour take?

You will need a minimum of 3 hours to complete the tour. However, we recommend that you take your time and make a day out of it. For example, you could take your swimming gear and head to a beach, stop for an extra glass of wine at one of the wineries or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

How long and how hard is the cycle ride?

The total length of the ride is just under 16 km (excludes any additional riding to the optional Points of Interest). This includes some hills and off-road terrain. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness for the cycle ride. Keep in mind it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for some people.

The winery is typically open Monday – Saturday between 1 May – 1 October from around 13:00 until around 20:00.
