Want a private tour?
While your party size can be as small as one person, our tours require a minimum of 4 total persons to run. If we are unable to meet that minimum, we will gladly rebook you to another date, refund your purchase or charge an additional cost (with your agreement if you’d like to go ahead with the booking).
Book Tour- Enjoy a cycle ride through the peaceful and scenic Korcula countryside not often explored by visitors to the island.
- Visit a local honey producer, learn more about the honey making process and then try the three honeys produced as well as olive oil and local marmalades.
- Take part in a cooking workshop, where you will bake one of the region’s famous sweet cookies, Klasuni.
Within 15 minutes of setting off from Korcula you will arrive at the first stop. Here you will meet one of the region’s top honey producers and after learning how honey gets from the beehives to the jars, you will taste their delicious honey. Back on your bike, you will continue the cycle ride passing through beautiful countryside, vineyards and olive groves whilst enjoying fantastic views of the archipelago and the Peljesac channel. During a couple of rest stops (make sure you bring water) we will share with you local knowledge about the area and answer any of your questions.
After taking in the scenic local area during the extended section of the bike ride, you will come to a rural location for the cooking workshop. During the workshop you will have fun preparing and baking your own traditional, sweet cookies whilst learning some local stories. The sweet treats you will be making are called Klasuni. Klasuni is a little ball of joy, made from a traditional dough, which is then filled with a tasty filling made from nuts, rose brandy and various marmalades.
Once the workshop is complete and you have sampled your delicious treats, it will be time to head back to Korcula Town. Hop back on your bikes and we’ll follow the most direct route back to Korcula town in no more than 25 minutes.

FAQs
How hard is the cycle ride?
We recommend that you have a good level of fitness for the cycle ride. You will cycle around 14 km, and this includes some road cycling, several hills and some off-road terrain. Keep in mind as well it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate, but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for some people. Although the ride is leisurely, we just want to ensure you will be comfortable to complete the ride.
What should I wear?
We advise that you wear clothes and shoes that you are comfortable cycling in.
What should I bring with me?
We suggest that you bring a minimum of 1 litre of water per person for the cycle ride. You will need to bring a backpack to carry your baked goods back with you (and if you choose to buy any products from the honey producer).
Can I buy products from the producers we visit?
Yes, you can buy local products at each stop. Please note they do not accept card payments, so ensure you have cash (Euro) with you if you plan on making a purchase.
Where does the tour start and where do we meet?
We will meet you at a central meeting point in Korcula Town. We provide a map of where to meet on the Tour Confirmation.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements or food allergies?
Please let us know upon booking if you have any dietary requirements or food allergies. We can usually accommodate all, although unfortunately on this tour there is no alternative for gluten intolerance/coeliac.
What is the payment & refund policy?
Full payment is required when booking. Should you need to cancel we will offer a full refund for any cancellations received at least 48 hours before the tour date. You can see full details on our Terms & Conditions page: http://www.korculaexplorer.com/terms-conditions/.
