Tour Highlights & Overview

- Try a range of honey all produced on the island using local bees!
- Taste the refreshing Grk wine which is grown only in the village of Lumbarda
- Learn how locally grown produce is turned into delicious preserves and brandies
- Enjoy a short scenic walk in Lumbarda
Departing from Korcula Town towards Lumbarda by vehicle our first stop comes after no more than 5 minutes at one of the region’s top honey producers. Here we will learn how honey gets from the beehives to jars, followed by honey tasting.
After the honey tasting we transfer to Lumbarda to taste one of Korcula’s most famous products, it’s wine. The winery we visit produces the acclaimed and little known (outside of Croatia) white wine, Grk, as well as Plavac Mali (a red wine produced through-out Dalmatia with ties to American Zinfandel). All wines are paired with tasty Dalmatian snacks.
Leaving the winery, we take a short 10-minute walk arriving the scenic views of the village before arriving at our final destination to sweeten up our taste-buds. At the home of the jovial Ivan & Ana, we will taste an array of delicious homemade products including olive oil, preserves, sweet treats, Croatian rakija (brandy), domestic wine and to top the tour off, pancakes (crepe-style) with jam. We will also take a wonderful walk up through the olive & fruit trees for an amazing panoramic view. After we bid our new friends farewell, we’ll return back to Korcula.
