Here’s a quick glimpse of our life on Korcula through my phone camera. Whilst it only tells a minuscule amount about our 2019, I hope it inspires you to come to this beautiful part of the world we have called home since 2010. Enjoy our photo memories of Korcula 2019.
Plank out of water
Starting in March, (we were away January & February) this photo was taken on a beautiful sunny day as we took a stroll around Korcula Old Town. On day’s like these in early Spring, we can’t help but look forward to the coming of summer and the region’s typically fantastic weather.
New leaves in the Vineyards
On a trip into Lumbarda, where we take so many of our wine tasting tours, it is always exciting to see the vines coming to life especially when we know too well what fabulous wines they are going to produce!
Girls on Bikes
At the beginning of May our tour season gets underway and these two fun girls joined me on one of the first tours of the year.

Birthday Cocktail
For my Birthday we took a short break on the neighbouring island of Mljet. It’s so good to have such places on our doorstep (30-minute catamaran ride) to enjoy a cocktail or two and to relax in the beautiful nature in the National Park. At the following link, here are a few other suggestions of day trips from Korcula.
Peka
This photo is from our first reservation for a new tour we put together for 2019. This is the dish peka before it is slowly roasted in the embers of a fire. YUM!

Korta Katarina
We work with Korcula’s best wineries and this photo was taken on a tour that includes a tasting at Korta Katerina in Orebic. They had just finished renovating the ridiculously extravagant hotel connected to the winery.
Tour: Boat Trip & Wine Tasting
Why have 1, when you can have 3!
Here is a shot from a local wine bar on a night out doing what we do best! Lole Bar is sure to provide a friendly welcome, a great selection of wines and unique tasty bites! So pop by when you’re in the Old Town.
Watch the sun go down
This typical sunset pic was taken on one of our last tours of the season in October. As the nights draw in and the temperatures drop, this time of the year is always bitter-sweet. The season is ending, but it’s nice to know we have some time to chill coming up.
Beauty through the clouds
Once summer is over we get a lot more cloudy days and a fair amount of rain, but they can lead to stunning pictures.
Last day for 2019
A day before we left on our winter break I took this pic from the car park on top of our local shopping centre. What a view huh.
We wonder what this year will bring.
